Washington DC

I visited our Nation's Capitol this weekend. It was wonderful.

The journey down was interesting. I hit terrible traffic. Going from I270 to I495 was absolute horrible. To go about 5 miles took about 1.5 hours. I had to miss Good Stuff, my favorite DC restaurant. However, I did get to see the new Harry Potter movie.

Saturday morning started with an early morning walk. The city was wonderful in the morning and seeing the sun come up. The walk was followed by a great day with Penn State friends and family at the PSU vs. Indiana game. The team brought home the win. The weather could not have been better. The sun was out and warm. He had short sleeve shirts on during the game. Could not believe it was November.

After the game got a little interesting with a trip around DC. We got quite lost for about an hour. We had a nice dinner which everyone wanted. Then unforuately it was time to say goodbye again. It is great seeing everyone again and enjoying ourselves.

Sunday was another great morning walk in the city. Again the weather could not have been better. The trip home was a little less eventful. Got home early Sunday evening.

The best thing about this week is only two days of work because of the holiday. I just have to get through tomorrow and I am done for the week. Love it!! Not really into working anyway.
