Thanksgiving vacation is over. It is back to work tomorrow and then to Pittsburgh to class. Yucky :(.
It is also sad because Penn State football is over for the year. It was an amazing year with a great win to finish out the season. I also go to spend the afternoon with some friends I rarely get to see. Penn State is more than football. It is what connects some great people together. The games are more than a score sometimes. This season proved it. So proud of the team and the Penn State community.
One team.
Some pictures of the 2012 season with great friends.

30 for 30
I am getting to the end of my twenties, and for the first time yesterday I heard the saying 30 for 30. I was like what does that mean? It could be anything, but my first thought was the documentary series on ESPN. What does ESPN have to do with me and getting to the end of my twenties and hitting that first "old age" marker of 30? In reality it is a type of bucket list. 30 things you would like to do before you turn 30. Okay, well thats great. I was not really freaking out about the 30 thing but now I am. Is 30 the end? I know it is not but it is like if you don't do these 30 things you will never do it. Great. I am so behind I am 28, I should have created this a long time ago. Well I guess here goes nothing. I am only going to things I have never done or want to do.
1. Go to London and spend time exploring the city
2. Play golf at the home of golf: St. Andrews
3. Dress up for a fancy party on New Years Eve
4. Date a PGA tour golfer
5. Marry a PGA tour golfer: you would think this would be one since the title of my Blog is I Want To Be a PGA Tour Wife but you cannot just jump into marriage.
6. Go to the Augusta National to watch the Masters
7. Ice skate at Rockefeller Center
8. Go to Canada
9. Go to Chicago
10. Work for a Division 1 university
11. Have my own place (Yes I moved back into my childhood home. Hey, I am single twenty-something and money does not grow on trees. I like the ability to save my money when I get the chance.)
12. Go on a trip by myself
13. Go to a movie by myself
14. Paddle board
15. Play a slot machine in Las Vegas
16. See the Kings of Leon in concert (every time I have tickets the concert has been cancelled)
Okay a little stuck here now. Will have to come back another day to finish 17-30.

Nerves
I work for an University. I have always wanted to work for an University. Why? The first time in my life I thought I found a place I really want to be was in college. I truly loved my experience. After grad school and my first job experience in the "real world", I soon realized I wanted to go back to college. I knew at this time, I would never get the same feelings or have the same fun I did the first time around, but I knew that is where I needed to go. I wanted to help a student find themselves or experience the time of their life like I did in college. So after six years of trying to get a job in an University, I am finally here.
A part of the position is doing a round of Director on Duty. During this time you are the point person for any situations that are deemed unusual or need the attention of a higher authority. Most of the situations are around housing of student conduct. It makes me so nervous. I want to make a right or more importantly the right decision in what could be a difficult situation. I have actually slept poorly all week waiting for the phone to ring. No major problems this week. Tonight is my last night. I know I will have another restless night sleep. I never knew students could make me so nervous.
This whole experience of my first week being on duty has made me appreciate my college experience once again. I had great friends. We did our best to make sure everyone was safe and was accounted for. No one walked home alone. If someone had too much to drink, we stayed up with them all night. We did our best to be the listener and knew that there would be a time would be need that ear to vent or shoulder to cry on. We were so lucky that we need had to make a scary phone call to love ones or had to question where are friends were. My friends and I were far from perfect. We definitely made dumb choices and decisions but our consequences were not as serve because we had each other to look out.

Life's Goods and Bads
Christmas season is upon us. Unforunately, I am not really into the season. Between work and wishing my Mom was here for the season, I am not really in the mood. Work still sucks. This program called Fit For Life where we provide PE teachers for private and parochial schools just plain sucks. Teachers are calling off like crazy, and there are no subs. A sub I did have quit because the travel was tough. Oh come on...you live in Pittsburgh. Travel always sucks because you are old roads that never were changed to modern travel. Tomorrow I have to get some more subs. I just plain hate my job still.I did a job interview today. I am not the best at interviews. I can talk your ear off and sometimes questions just through me. I should know now because I have done enough interviews. The job is not that great and the pay even worse. I have applied to so many jobs I can't even remember what half of them were.
This past weekend I went to New York City. I bright spot in a yucky season. New York at Christmas time is magical. All the people and decorations are amazing. The Rockefeller Christmas tree is amazing. It brought tears to my eyes. I loved every minute. I did lunch at the Plaza, explored 5th avenue, hung out at Rockefeller Center, danced through Broadway, ate in all the Villages, and explored all modes of transportation. I saw Addams Family and Chicago. Both were great performance. I saw Nathan Lane for the second time, and he still could be one of the best Broadway performers ever. I spent a lot of money on food and drinks but that is fine. Saturday night was a good night with food, drinks, and friends. Loved seeing all my wonderful friends. I hope to go back soon.
I hope Christmas season brings something good for me like a good job in a position I want away from a gym.

Where Have I Been?
I have not written in a well. Not because I don't want to but I have been in and out a lot lately. I have done some traveling, and stupid work. I am not busy at work but they seem to get me there all the time.
I am currently ditching work. I am not a hard working. I still have not been able to find a job I enjoy. I am not really enjoying this one all that much. Yucky. So I try to get away when I can. Hence, why I am sitting in my living room watching Days of Our Lives, updating my blog. Sometime I hope to find a job that is tolerable, fun and challenging. Just not there yet.
I signed up for a marathon today. I am running the Pittsburgh Marathon in May. This is my first full marathon. I am excited and nervous.
I am feeling a litte more author-like I will write some more.

Summer Time
Hello. Hello. Hello. I am now a month into my new job. The good news is...I do not hate my job. The bad news is...I still think my best career choice is PGA Tour Wife. Yes, I want to be married to a golfer but not a Tiger Wood's type. There has to be a good PGA tour player that is old school gentleman. Girl can dream. I guess I should be hanging out with tour players more...got to figure out how to do that.
I have been busy the last month getting my feet under me at work. The job is not hard. I still spend too much time on a gym floor. I still have to wear gym clothes way too much. I want a job where I can were professional type clothes almost everyday. Again, some days I do not shower because I know I will be dirty in two seconds.
My golf playing time has gone down since I started work. No more playing almost everyday. I spend too much time at the YMCA. I need to start focusing on only being at work for 8 to 9 hours.
Pittsburgh is a nice city but I need to meet more people. It is hard at my job to meet people because everyone at work has a core group and not a lot of people my age not attached, married, without kids, etc. Also, there is not a lot of people my age at my YMCA (I guess I should be only putting the Y because of the new logo and marketing plan).
So here is to hoping for a career that will make me happy, finding my PGA tour player, and playing lots of golf along the way.

New Job
I have a new job. I started working at the YMCA as a Health and Wellness Director a week ago Monday. I am very excited to start the new job. Right now I am trying to get organized. I hope to continue doing what I like at the YMCA for awhile. The facility is very relaxed. Completely different from my old position. I have very little direction from my superiors with little restriction. I love the new position. I hope I feel this way in about a month.
My staff is a whole other story. I like being in control of a group of people but I did not get to choose my staff. I have had a lot of cancellations, no shows, and changes. Hopefully, I will be able to get everyone on the same page. It not only make it easier for me but for future employees.
On Saturday, I got certified in Silver Sneakers Manage of Motion/Muscular Strength. I now will be able to teach adults 65 and over. I am excited to take on a new challenge of group fitness classes.
I am very tired currently. I am having a hard time sleeping but I know when I get more comfortable in my job I will be better off.

Crazy week
For someone who is only working two or three days a week, I feel exhausted. I am so glad I am leaving my current place of employment. Everyday the place gets more and more ridiculous. It is actually very sad at how upper management works. I really just want to scream at the General Manager and use all the bad words I can think of. He is just a terrible person. The worse part is that the members will be the one's to suffer in the long run. F*** you Mr. Stedman. Hahaha...that feels good to say.
Today I had the day off and work still is recking havoc on me. At about 8:45 am I get a call to see if I can teach cycling class at 9:00am. I was at home enjoying the morning off reading a book. In less than five minutes I brushed my teeth and put some workout clothes on. I get there and the tense is crazy. The worse part about everything is that some people in this ordeal cannot stand up for themselves. The complain all day long and when push comes to shove they back away. Do not act like you care...you had your chance.
I started moving stuff out of my apartment. I moved a whole car load to Johnstown on Monday. I cannot believe I am moving back to my parents house. I definitely need to but it is still crazy. I am currently sending out resume and cover letters like crazy. I wish in a cover letter you could just beg. I really want to write: "Please hire me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE hire me!" Do you think that will work?
I have not tried any new recipes this week. I have been eating out a lot this week. Not a great idea but I think that is going to be happening a lot the next week and half. I have a lot more to move and so much to clean. I do not mind cooking or doing laundry but cleaning is not for me.
I am going to Boston in little over two weeks. I am very excited. I have never been to Boston before. I am also going to a formal for MIT. My brother has his grad school formal and I will be attending. I think this should be scope out all the smart boys and make one my husband. (Just kinding....I am still holding out for a PGA tour professsional.) Like a boy he tells me to wear something a little nicer than what I wear everyday. What I am thinking is I get to go get a new dress. Shopping time.
I love that it is March. The weather has been wonderful this week. I feel like the sun has not shown all year. This week the sun has been out and the weather has been warm. It just makes you feel better. Another great part about March is all the basketball. Again my sleep is off. During the Olympics I was up all hours watching the events. Today has not been as exciting as day one but still good games.

another tourney is over
I am official done with the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship. I lost in the first round yesterday afternoon 3&2. It was a good match but I hate losing. I especially hate losing to mean bitchy woman. The woman I played was a complete pain. She was a terrible competitor. Despite the fact I lost, I was very excited about how I finished the tournament. For the first competitive tournament in three years and very little practice, I felt like I did very well. It took a little well for me to warm up but once I got started I did pretty well. I did not make any spectator shots but I never did anything to get me into too much trouble. I do not know how much competitive golf I will do in the future. I think I might just stick to USGA qualifiers and if I qualify that is a bonus. I do not play or practice enough during the year to be real competitive but it is still nice to get in the competition. Also, the whole job thing gets in the way a lot. I realized most of the women playing this week did not have a job. All they do is play golf. Well I do not have that luxary. I have to pay the pills. When I get my PGA tour husband then maybe I will be able to put more time into my game. HAHAHAHA. Anyway back to the daily grind and back to work.

some days the phone rings
Today I had so many phone calls. Most days no one wants to call me but not today. Everyone called me. I was at work till 8pm tonight so I did not get to most of the calls. I had one important call and we kept playing phone tag. In the end, the caller told me they would call tomorrow. I felt very important today.
I usually complain how much I hate work (and I still do) but today was not too bad of a day. I did go through a three hour stretch where I was completely bored. However, I did get to teach three group classes. That makes the day go so much faster. Plus, I get to interact with people more. Also, I am excited because on Saturday we are having a breast cancer fundraiser. I think it is going to be so much fun. :)
Tomorrow I am done with work at 3pm. Instead of getting to do something I want in the afternoon, I got suckered into going to a high school golf match. Supposedly there is this great player on this team, and I should recommend him to play at Penn State. I looked up his scores, and trust me there not that good. This high schooler really would like to play golf in college. Well that is nice but he has to start looking somewhere that would allow him to play. Penn State would just laugh at me for suggesting this kid. Plus, I do not want to waste my afternoon watching some boys play golf. I hated high school golf, and have no desire to watch it. I like watching golf but not hacks.
I am currently watching the show Glee. I love this show. It is so funny and enjoyable. If you have never seen this show, you need to watch. It is on Wednesdays at 9pm. Watch it.

hmmmm....tell me something happy
Today I had a bad day at work. Nothing new there. I hate my job. Several days a week it seems I leave upset or angry. Well that happened again today. While I was on break from work I posted a message on facebook...I am not happy please tell me something happy to make me happy. It was great. People left me great notes or sayings. Every single message put a smile on my face. It was also touching that people were able to take out of their day to help me. I love when we try to help out a friend. It does make you feel better. I think everyone deserves a compliment several times a day. You never know if that person is having a bad day or not. One compliment may go along way.
At Purdue University two students are giving out compliments. Their goal is to make people smile. We need more people like this in the world.

i want my bed
Sometimes mornings start out with a beep of the alarm...well that did not happen to me. Instead of setting my alarm to 5:00am, I set the alarm to 5:00pm. So...NO alarm wake up for me. I woke at 8:45, exactly one hour and forty-five minutes after I was suppose to be at work. I was not too depressed about being late for work but I was sad about all the chores I wanted to get done this morning that did not get completed. I had planned on finishing my laundry and going to Wal-Mart. (I hate Wal-Mart. I try to avoid it like the plague. I only go first thing in the morning when no one is there and they put out the fresh produce.) Anyway, I got dressed and ready to go in less than ten minutes, and was at work by 9:00am. It was no big deal because there was nothing for me to do. I got a nice cup of coffee and a bagel. I ate a nice relaxed breakfast in my office. No one (except the co-worker I do not like) even noticed I was late. (The co-worker I do not like would notice I was not there because he thinks he is my boss. He makes sure he picks out every one's wrong goings. Take a look at yourself buddy.) I worked the last two hours of my morning shift without incidence.
I have some interesting news. I am going to play in my first golf tournament in three years this week. (I can not believe it has been three years. I use to play in tournaments all the time.) I leave tomorrow evening to head to Akron, OH. I am going to play in the U.S. Mid-Amateur qualifier. Who knows why I am doing this...I guess the love of the game. I do not play or practice even close to what I use to but I feel like I need competition back in my life. I wanted a purpose to my practice and play so I decide to try my hand at amateur golf again. I picked a event that I thought I could be semi-competitive. Here I go. Wish me luck. I will let you know how I do.

i want to post a story
Hello blogging world. I am writing you tonight after a girls night out after work. Typically on Wednesday nights after work I go to a local hot spot (Applebee's or the Mexican Restaurant) for some food and drinks. I can definitely tell I had a drink or two and I am writing to you. Let's see how this goes. A funny story from work today. I teach Zumba on Wednesday nights. It is funny for me to teach Zumba. Never thought I would be teaching this class. I think they chose me to teach this class because I have a big butt. Who better to teach a class about shaking that a** than a girl with a butt that has two bowling balls attached. I am okay with my big behind. It is there and it is not going away. Anyway, I was shaking what I was given and leading the class when LALA came in to tell me the pool is over flowing and the staff needs my help. So I told my class keep shaking and dancing. I would be back in a jiffy. I go downstairs and the pool is definitely over the edge. It was like looking at an infinity pool and water was coming out over the edge. You could pretty much swim to the window. It was crazy. So with two other co-workers saved the day. I climbed over all these pipes and tubes and turned the water off. Since my butt is so big I had a big racing stripe on my pants. I go upstairs to teach again and it looked like I had a rumble in the desert. I could not stop laughing. I finished up class with a nice racing stripe on my a**. Funny story to end my night.

i want to retire
So today at work I had a friend and member tell me that she read my blog. First off it was so exciting to know I was reaching out to my fans...hahaha. In reality, I was excited because someone read my blog and had something to say to me. Granted she got one of the many messages I sent out to my friends and family that pretty much begs them to read my blog. Hey a girl's got to do what a girl's got a to do to get people to read her blog. SS (do not forget that I will never use names) told me what she wanted most was to retire. I then thought I would have to agree with her. Retirement would be great. I would never have to worry about dealing with jobs I hate or people I do not like. I would have all day to do whatever I like and do it whenever I wanted. Retirement would be perfect for me because I could play golf all day long, take naps, go on nice long walks, read a lot of great books I never have had a chance to read, and eat some wonderful food that I actually cooked. Maybe I would learn how to play bridge and knit great sweaters for everyone. For my wonderful career in retirement, I would move south preferrable Pinehurst, NC. In my new career of retirement, I could really put forth a lot of effort trying to find my PGA tour husband. I would really like to thank SS for my new career path of retirement. If you want to join me on this journey to finding retirement please let me know.
about my blog name and user name
Hello to I want something. The first thing you need to know is what I want most. Right now I want a new job. I hate my job. I know most people hate their job but I have taken my hate to a whole new level. It may sound great to the outsider that I do nothing all day long but it is not. I mean I really do not do anything all day. I sometimes get to read a book but that has nothing to do with what I should be doing at work. Well...maybe it does because I have no assignments, appointments, NOTHING. I get to clean some exercise equipment that is not that much fun. Come on I have two degrees and a certification. Yes that means I am a gloried machine cleaner. I do not want to give you too much fun information about my job on the first blog. You are going to have to stay tuned for me fun information. I have co-workers I hate, members that are stupid, and a building that is falling down around me. I will never give out the real names of anyone or the name of where I work to save the innocent (also so I do not want to get into trouble).
Now I need to explain my user name for my blog...I want to be a pga tour wife. Yes, I really want to be a PGA tour wife. I think it would be awesome to combine two things I like in this world: men and golf. I have already tried to find PGA tour wife on monster and careerbuilder and there is currently no openings. I am hoping that the players are not looking on some other site because I am very qualified. It would be terrible if a PGA tour golfer was looking somewhere else. Since I hate my current job this would be a job I would really like. I would work really hard at being a PGA tour wife. I would even put make-up on every morning to look nice for my hubby. Hopefully soon I will find a posting for PGA tour wife. Here is to dreaming.
